School system in India: Schools in India can be broadly categorized into Government schools and private schools, depending on the source of funds these schools receive. The government schools can be either Central schools, central (Federal) government authorized and sponsored or state schools, state government sponsored schools. The central schools are very similar in their setup and have the same curricula anywhere in the country. State schools can have either English as the medium of instruction or the regional state language as the medium of instruction.
