Are Preacher Kids Really as Bad as They Say? Television is like drugs. It messes with our minds, and can also make us believe things that aren’t really there or true. By creating a false sense of reality, it alters our perception of the world. Often it is only half the storey and the rest we are left to assume. These assumptions are often false or incorrect. Stereotypes are the result of these assumptions. These negative or incorrect ideas that appear as images in TV screens are like that of preacher kids are bad kids. In the TV show “7th Heaven” many times the show is based on the children’s faults, which makes the viewer believe that most or all preacher kids are like them. Mary, Simon, and Ruthie are three of the seven kids in this family and they all have faults that can lead the viewer to believe this stereotype. Sometimes, however, that is not always the truth. There are a total of seven children in the Camden Family. Mary is one of them. She being the older of the other two girls in the family makes her have a big part in role modeling and setting an example for her younger sisters. However, she doesn’t quit have the right morals. It all starts when Mary and some of her friends break into their High School and trash the gymnasium. They damaged everything in their sight, and left it with toilet paper and spray paintings all over the wall and floors. She did get caught by the police and as a result her parents sent her to Buffalo.
