um...
"Aaw Dad. Why do you have to leave on another one of your vacations? ... Yea, I understand. But, finials are nearing to an end, and just like every year, I won't be able to spend Christmas with you and mom.... Please? Can't you try and make it? Okay... I understand. Tell mom I love her. Okay. Love you too daddy." She hung up the receiver and slumped on the couch. "Another boring holiday season in the life of Julie Davits" She muttered. Coming from a rich family, Julie always had what she wanted. Her dad was the executive manager at Jive records, and her mother was the web master for the company. Being an only child, Julie was used to all the attention she received. She was in a Jiff commercial at the age of 5 and was asked to be on other commercials the years to follow. She basically grew up in the limelight. Her parents had dreams of her becoming a singer, or an actress. Lord knows the girl could sing. And she has the spunk and attitude to become an actress at the drop of a hat. All they wanted was for her to be happy and they already made up their minds that that's what she wanted to do. Despite her parents wishes and dreams, she want's to be as normal as possible. She was already living the superstar lifestyle. She was filthy rich, her dad owned a huge condo in Orlando, Florida that she was currently living in, she owned 2 top of the line Mercedes, and she met superstars everyday. Her parents tried to get her around as much famous people as possible. They figured she'd get influenced by the famous people she met, and would want to peruse a career like they did. Julie wasn't into that though. Her parents put a lot of pressure on her and they were making her life a little more complicated than it already was. She wanted to settle down and have a family soon. Being 18 was extremely rough on her. At school, she was majoring in child psychology and that alone had left a huge amount of weight on her shoulders. There was a loud knock on the door that broke the daze Julie was in. "Come in" She mumbled, and covered he face with a white pillow. Her cousin Heather came bouncing in and with a loud thud, landed on the couch beside her. Much to Julie's surprise the pillow was knocked off her face and landed on the cream colored carpet. "Sup Jewels!" Heather exclaimed. Julie gave her a tired look. "Why the long face? It's FRIDAY man! Time to partay!" "Heather, I really don't feel like partying right now. I've got a killer headache and I'm studying for finals." Julie gave her a questioning look, "Speaking of finals, aren't you supposed to be studying on yours?" Heather raised an eyebrow and pushed her shoulder lightly and said, "Dude! It's Friday! I'm ready to get my groove thang on! Not my study thang on." Julie rolled her eyes and said, "You need a life." "I have one - thank you" Heather said. As her voice trailed off to the kitchen she continued, "By the way, did you hear that your Mom and Dad are going to Paris again?" Julie was hesitant but answered, "Yes... Why do you ask?" "Well," Heather cleared he throat as she reached for a drink in the fridge. "That means they won't be back again 'till the spring. You know how it is every time they go on another one of their vacations." "Yea, unfortunately I do. Hey... what exactly are you getting at?" Heather walked back toward Julie and sat down on the white couch beside her. She took a sip of her cherry flavored Snapple before answering. "Oh I'm not getting at anything. Why do you always assume things every time I start up a conversation with you?" Julie gave her a pitiful look. "Heather, I hate to break it to ya' but you've been my cousin since I can remember, and by now I think I know what your motive in life is." "Oh really..." Heather responded in a sly voice, "What's that then?" "TO TORTURE ME TO DEATH!" Julie's head sank back underneath the pillow and she muttered a few obscenities that were muffled by the white cushion. Heather shook her head left and right and she said, "You know? you REALLY need to get out more" Heather walked out and quietly shut the door behind her. She quietly said to herself, "That girl needs to let loose for a while. She's gonna crack." After a few hours of studying, Julie sat up and sighed loudly. "What I need right now is an aspirin the size of a watermelon." She walked toward the spacious kitchen and poured herself a glass of water. She reached above the fridge and grabbed the bottle of Advil. Popping two pills in her mouth, she started making her way back to the living room when all of a sudden, the phone rang. After a couple or rings, Julie ran to the phone and answered it. "Hello... who's th--" She was interrupted by someone's loud giggling. "Aaaah ha ha ha ha! Would you stop tickling me? Oh! Sup Jewels I didn't notice you had answered the phone" "Yea, well, I did." She rolled hey eyes and continued, "What in the world are you doing? Why didn't you tell me where you were going before walking out like that!" "Girl I'm having the time of my life. I told you I was going out to a party. I'm at the Trop--" She was cut off and Julie interrupted. "Would you speak up? I can't hear a damn word your saying. And would you turn down that music?" Heather raised her voice with frustration, "I told you.
