Erin Eckroad Professor Gibbs English 101c 10 October 2003 MY FAMILY There are many different kinds of family this day and age. To me, I really don~{!/~}t believe that your family members have to be blood related to be considered your family. I have many family members, including three brothers, one sister and both of my parents. It~{!/~}s not that simple though. They all have impacted my life in many different ways, so with you I would like to share a little bit about my family, and some people that ~{!0~}technically~{!1~} aren~{!/~}t my family. I would like to start off talking about my younger sister. Her name is Melissa and she is one of the most magnificent things that have ever happened to me. She has taught me so many things about life that it~{!/~}s really hard to imagine she is only sixteen. We have shared some very hard times growing up but through it all we have always been there for one another. When I got in high school though it was a little different. She started to feel left out and soon enough she was left in the dust. Then after a year or so I really realized what was important to me. Melissa was the only person that I could ever confide in, the only one that knew all my deep dark secrets. I didn~{!/~}t need a best friend because she was it. It seems though that most recently the times have been rough between us, because of some controversy. About three weeks ago, I found out that my sister had been raped. She cried to me for hours, but the thing was is my ex-boyfriend that I was so in love with for two years was the other party. I was at a loss, and was torn between my sister and the love of my life. The story changed many times after that so it~{!/~}s hard to believe any thing that either of them said.
