Kennedy reject these ideas based on the fact that “neither offer guidance that is intellectually, morally, or politically satisfactory”. Racial is describe as having pride in someone else contribution because they are apart of one’s own race. He goes on to say that races is something inherited therefore you should not feel proud with something that was not your doing. Only individual accomplishment is wealthy self-dignity. Kennedy understands that pride is hard to earn and racial pride feel in that lack of person achievement. Kennedy also is strongly against racial kinship, racial kinship is the believe that one’s should value his or her own races higher there other. In not sure that I except that definition as it seems rather bias and seems to favor his attach. Kennedy list many reason and example of why racial kinship is wrong. The first example attach the belief that race is like a family. Kennedy gives an illustration in which he questing the loyalty of blood and the loyalty of kinship. Would someone be willing to give a person hundred dollars because he is apart of your own races most people would says no as me included but its not because of racial kinship but based on common sense.
