Parental Inspiration Many things that have contributed to my journey to college. Attending Pattonville High School pointed me in the direction of further education. The enthusiastic attitude that the faculty maintained toward teaching gave me the drive to want to continue my education. I have also realized that if I want to achieve anything in today’s society, I need to have a trade that I have mastered. I want to prove to the world, and most importantly to myself, what I can do. I want to have responsibility and have the chance to show that I am responsible. The people that I want to show my responsibility to the most are my parents. My parent’s influence on the importance of education throughout my life is a major reason that I attended college. Obviously, my parents have always stressed the importance of education. Growing up, my homework was always to be done before I could play outside.
