Expectations are that we will see further changes in business and work. Important advances have been made during the last decade and we can expect much more, especially while globalization keeps moving businesses everywhere in competitive situations where knowledgeable, effective behavior has come to prove to be as important as the company’s other essential assets. Effective behavior has provided competitive edge. “Future changes will come from information technology (IT) and artificial intelligence developments”, said Karl M. However, more important changes are expected in people-centric practices to build, apply, and deploy understanding for support of innovative and effective knowledge -intense work. In the corporate world we can already see the increasing requirements for knowledge to deliver competitive work. Even in an era when technology is advancing and creating management changes, managers will continue to need to identify managerial skills. Many of these skills need to be developed and extended to take account of changing organization structures, the changes in work due to technology, and the changing pattern of the world trade. Particularly communication skills will be even more important in the future.
