Fat Burners or Life Burners?
Over the past several generations, American people have had serious trouble with obesity. These people, desperate for a way to lose weight, have been looking for a way that will free them of their problems with ease. These people have been fatally misguided by “miracle pills” that help them lose weight and suppress their appetites. Dietary supplements such as Stacker 3, Xenadrine, Metabolife, and hundreds more have been offered to the public, deceiving overweight people by advertising these pills as an easy solution to weight problems. These pills, in fact, have further ruined the lives of many overweight people by suppressing their appetites with side effects. It turns out, however, that the deadly effects of these pills seem to make the actual weight loss to be the side effect. Although America has had a severe weight problem over the past decade, as “the percentage of seriously overweight people has increased from 12 percent in 1993 to 37.9 percent in 1998.” (www.imdiversity.com), turning to weight loss pills is not the right decision. Weight loss pills that advertise quick weight loss by taking pills daily cover up the information that cause serious health risks that far exceed the risks of being overweight. Stacker 3, Xenadrine, and Metabolife each have one thing in common; these three dietary supplements each have ephedra/ephedrine.
