BIO Assignment Prof. Sumita Rai Name: Shreyas Gopinath Section D 19226 Q1. Write some experiences that summarize your key learning experiences during the pre-mid term BIO course. The experiences that were quite memorable and a great value addition in terms of learning for me were: The video session that highlighted the importance of perception and that showed in a very educative manner the way different people perceive the same person, depending on various factors. The interactive sessions we had about many topics, the most memorable being the discussion about the relevance of different motivational need theories. The participation of the entire class and their different views made the class all the more interesting. Another striking experience of the course was the game that was used to explain the self-fulfilling prophecy. Q2. What questions are most alive for you from the topics we explored? The questions that are most alive for me are: What is the difference between values and attitudes? How relevant are the conventional theories of motivation in today’s world? What is the relevance of the different theories of organizational behaviour to Indian work culture? Q3 What applications do you see in what you have learned – both now and in future work? The entire course was educational and very valuable in terms of understanding how organizations and teams work in the real-world scenario.
