To Dream I live in America, the land of equal opportunity. No matter what race, gender, or religion, everyone has the chance to live the American Dream. True, there are many preconceptions and prejudices that will hinder some people, but everyone has a chance. If people really truly want to be successful and live their dream, they have a chance to make their dream a reality. The American Dream can be many different things depending on the person describing it. For some, it may be being President of the United States, owning a large company, or being a professional athlete, and for others it may something as simple as owning their own house, or getting a college education. Obviously different people have different interpretations of the American Dream, but everyone has a dream. A group of people who often have a harder time attaining the American Dream is Homosexuals. In Kevin Jenning’s article “American Dreams” in Signs of Life in the USA, he said that for him, a gay male from the south, living the American Dream was impossible.
