WELCOME The Chair opened the meeting at 1.12 pm and welcomed all attendees. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES The minutes from the last meeting were approved. BUSINESS ARISING 3.1 ITEM 1 - VIOLENCE IN THE WORKPLACE Gordon McCreadie discussed violence within the State Rail working environment and strategies to address this issue. Training is the key strategy, increasing the knowledge and awareness of staff confronted with violent or potentially violent situations. Gordon outlined the current programs which are as follows: · Training has been implemented for Revenue Protection Officers.
