Business Growth The managements prime concern in a business/firm is its long term security, so it is more centralized along the theme of maximizing growth of the firms assets rather than maximizing in its sales or profits. By having high growth rates, a certain monopoly power can be achieved in the market place and from this power; a firm may prosper from high growth rates, which may bring power, promotion and prestige within the general business community. With the goal of maximizing profits in mind, a business will behave much differently to one’s who’s goals are to maximize profits.
