Macbeth
Macbeth In the novel Macbeth, written by William Shakespeare. I am going to explain how Macbeth turns from a substantial hero into a monster of evil. Macbeth is under control from his wife Lady Macbeth, his unconscious mind and evil. At the start of the play Macbeth is involved in a bloody battle against the King of Norway, Macbeth & Thane of Cawdor. Macbeth killed Macdonald, he was carved open from the nave to the chops and then his head was chopped off and then stuck on a post for everyone to see. Macbeth almost wins the battle single-handed. Banquo reports back to King Duncan, who then spreads the word about Macbeth being the hero, and that they couldn’t off won the battle without him. On the way back from the battle, Macbeth and his friend Banquo meet three witches. The witches talk to Macbeth & Banquo, which some how know Macbeths and Banquos names and titles. Macbeth and Banquo are stunned and don’t know what to think or what to do. The witches tell Macbeth that he is going to be Thane of Cawdor and after time he is going to be King of Scotland. The witches tell Banquo that he will not be King but his sons will be. After a while the three witches disappear so Banquo and Macbeth headed off home. On the way they meet Ross and Angus. They came with some news, “He bade me, from him, call thee Thane of Cawdor”, Macbeth was stunned and could not believe it. He thought to himself if the first wish had come true what is stopping all three wishes that were predicted by the three witches. Macbeth wonders how he might become king. Later on King Duncan arrives and gives thanks to Macbeth and Banquo for their bravery and courage in the battle. King Duncan then announces that his eldest son Malcolm will be the next King. This made Macbeth secretly annoyed. As all his hopes of being King were wiped clean. Macbeth then writes a letter to his wife (lady Macbeth) telling her everything that has happened and that King Duncan is coming to our castle for a feast. Straight away Lady Macbeth thinks of different ways to kill King Duncan but she is too worried that Macbeth will not do it as he is to nice to do something like that so she calls upon evil to give her more force and power to convince Macbeth that it is the right thing to do. Macbeth is very happy at this point. But secretly he wonders how he could become king that grows on him. He secretly thinks of different ways to become king. His most drastic though is to kill the King himself, but at this point it is just a thought. Macbeth is prepared to do anything to become King. Anyone that stands in his way will not stop him as his mind is set on survival, survival to become king. Macbeth arrives home shortly after writing the letter, he doesn’t know what to do about killing King Duncan.
