“Everlasting Memories”
“Everlasting Memories” In the short story “The Grave”, by Katherine Anne Porter, there is a sense of family unity between the brother and sister. The Grave also reveals a lot of trust between Miranda and Paul. This is greatly shown between my father and me. Of course we had the occasional family, or in this story, siblings feuds in every household. The three things that stood out most between my father and I are: we are very close to each other; he took me practically everywhere, and the relationship between the white rabbit and my own family ties. The “Rabbit” is a great way of explaining the relationship between my father and me. The rabbit symbolizes purity in the sense that it is white in color, and is about to bear baby rabbits. This is in relationship to the post-move to Florida, where we were able to have most anything we wanted.
