A Handmaid's Tale
In Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, it is clear that Moira is freer than the protagonist Offred. This can be argued due to the simple fact that Moira never gives in to totalitarianism and ultimately represents resistance to Gilead. I don’t think that freedom in this context has so much to do with a physical freedom, but being able to survive such a drastic societal change has to do with mental freedom.
