ABORTION
Abortion There are many things in life that people often take for granted. Among them is sometimes the most valuable gift that anyone could possibly posses and it is one of the very things that people tend to not value too much. It is life itself. That is the reason why abortion has always been a very controversial issue between those who don’t care much for the intricacies of life and those who do. Many have argued that abortion is a form of murder and should not be committed because it is the destruction of life. On the other hand, people have stated that it is up to the individual as to whether or not they will proceed with the abortion. Both issues will be discussed later from the two viewpoints to illustrate who is more right and who is more wrong. Abortion is the ending of a pregnancy before birth (Abortion Methods). In more detail, an abortion is the termination of a pregnancy by the removal of the embryo or fetus from the body of a woman, which results in death (Abortion is Pro-Life / Frequently Asked Questions). Abortion is medical procedure that involves the removal of the fetus by suction, followed by surgical instruments called curettes used to scrape the inside of the woman’s uterus. This is done to insure that all remains of the fetus are totally gone, thereby guaranteeing the success of the operation. There has also been other abortion techniques that may be performed depending on the stage of the pregnancy. The first technique is called Suction Curettage (vacuum aspiration). This procedure is done early in the pregnancy. First, the cervix is widened with a series of instruments.
