capitol punishment
Capitol Punishment When a person commits a serious crime like murder they will most likely be sentenced to death row waiting for an execution. Whatever type of execution that the state holds it will always be immoral. It is not possible to find a way to execute a person that is not cruel, unusual, inhuman, or immoral. There can never be justification for this type of sentence to a human ("When the State Kills" 2). It could also be torture if the execution is taken to a certain extent ("When the State Kills" 2). There are many types of executions around the world that include: hanging, lethal injection, and shooting. Although these sound so unpleasant there is one more that would surprise people and that is the process of waiting for the execution. This time period can sometimes be worse than the execution itself ("When the State Kills" 61). All types of Capitol punishment or the death penalty are not only unpleasant, but also immoral. This is why the death penalty should be abolished from the world. The method of hanging a human for the death penalty is used in many countries throughout the world. A few states in the United States even have the method of hanging. With hanging, the prisoner is made to hang from a rope tied around the neck and is killed by the force of the rope exerted against the body pulled down by the force of gravity ("When the State Kills"54). This causes spinal cord damage, which then results in death ("When the State Kills" 54). The method of hanging could also be considered Frantz 2 torture if the calculation of the length of the rope is wrong then the suffering may be prolonged ("When the State Kills"56).
